Step 1: Assessment
The journey begins by measuring your child one-on-one with a nationally-normed achievement test (the Woodcock Johnson (revised)). By watching, and listening to your child's answers in 13 academic areas, we can understand most of your child's learning issues and levels. You help provide the rest of the story by filling out our confidential profiles.
Step 2: Custom Curriculum Development
Then, together with you, we carefully create an educational program desinged specifically to help your student learn easily and efficiently. If there are processing skills concerns, we add a fun, simple screening for information on memory and reasoning skills as well as visual and auditory processing.
Step 3: Mentorship & Support
As you begin home schooling you will surely have many questions. As a member of our Christian Cottage family, you will have unlimited access to our education consultants to ask questions on how-to's. We also provide online articles and resources that are updated on a regular basis.
Step 4: Involvement & Protection
We give you a legal and administrative covering to help keep your home schooling curriculum accountable in the event of an administrative audit from the state government. We also help organize field trips, organize high school graduations, and offer everything you need to have the peace of mind that you are doing everything right!
